Interior paint breaks down odors and pollutants

StoClimasan Color helps against unpleasant odors and pollutants indoors. The wall and ceiling paint, which is based on the principle of photocatalysis, continuously breaks down bad smells, smoke, but also, for example, evaporation of solvents – with any lighting .

Comparable to photosynthesis in plants or exhaust gas cleaning by the “cat” in a car, StoClimasan Color uses the active principle of photocatalysis. Millions of catalytically active pigments break down organic substances on the paint surface under the influence of light. What remains are harmless substances such as water or carbon dioxide. The catalysts themselves do not change, are stable in principle and therefore do not consume themselves. Every time visible light hits the surface, it activates the color. Odors and pollutants are eliminated, the room air is noticeably better.

Independent of UV rays

This fascinating transfer of a natural active principle to an interior coating was only made possible by the development of a UV light-independent catalyst, as conventional window glass already filters out UV rays. Normal light-active processes are dependent on UV waves. StoClimasan Color is therefore the only product with a photocatalytic effect that works with normal room light as well as the artificial light of incandescent bulbs and fluorescent tubes.
